
The Full Story
My name is Debbie and my journey into fitness did not begin as a lifelong athlete or fitness professional. Like many people, I struggled for years to prioritize my own health and wellness while balancing the demands of career, family, and everyday life.
After experiencing a significant personal health scare, I realized it was time to make lasting changes — not through quick fixes or perfection, but through consistency, support, education, and learning how to care for myself both physically and mentally. Over time, that journey led to a transformation that included losing more than 85 pounds, rebuilding my strength and confidence, and discovering a genuine passion for fitness and wellness.
One of the most important lessons I learned along the way is that success is rarely achieved alone. Support systems matter. Encouragement matters. Community matters. Whether through coaches, workout partners, friends, or family, teamwork played a major role in helping me stay motivated and continue moving forward even on difficult days.
That experience shaped the foundation of Solid Ground Personal Training, LLC. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where real people can feel encouraged, capable, and empowered to improve their health at their own pace.
I believe fitness is not about perfection or comparison — it is about building strength, confidence, resilience, and healthier habits from the ground up. Whether you are just beginning your journey or looking to rediscover your own strength, you do not have to do it alone.
